1. Overview

Orpheus Deck is a retro-inspired four-track audio recorder for Android. This Privacy Policy explains how the app handles information, recordings, files, permissions, local preferences, and optional Google Play Billing subscriptions.

Orpheus Deck is built to be privacy-conscious. Your recordings and projects are stored locally on your device. Orpheus Deck does not use ads, does not use an analytics SDK, and does not automatically upload your recordings to Junkfeathers Tech.

2. Microphone Permission

Orpheus Deck requests microphone access so you can record audio tracks when you choose to use the recording features.

The app uses microphone access for user-initiated recording. Orpheus Deck does not use the microphone for background listening, advertising, analytics, or automatic upload.

3. Audio Recordings and Project Files

Orpheus Deck records audio locally on your device. Projects, recordings, templates, waveform/cache data, diagnostic text, and exports are stored locally through the app/device storage workflow.

Orpheus Deck does not automatically upload your recordings, imported audio, project files, templates, or exports to Junkfeathers Tech.

4. Local Storage

Orpheus Deck may create and store local files so the app can save, reopen, edit, and export your recordings.

This may include:

• Project files
• Audio recordings
• Imported audio files selected by you
• Waveform/cache data
• Track names and templates
• Exported audio files
• Local settings and preferences
• Local diagnostic text used for support or troubleshooting

These files are used for app functionality and remain on your device unless you choose to export, share, move, delete, or otherwise manage them through the app or Android file tools.

5. User-Controlled Import, Export, and Sharing

Orpheus Deck may allow you to import audio files, such as WAV files, that you choose from your device using Android’s file selection tools.

When you export or share files from your device, you control that action through the app, Android system sharing tools, or your device file tools.

Orpheus Deck does not automatically upload your recordings or exported files to a server.

6. Google Play Billing and Orpheus Deck Pro

Orpheus Deck offers an optional Orpheus Deck Pro subscription through Google Play Billing.

Purchases, payments, subscription renewal, cancellation, refunds, and payment methods are handled by Google Play. Junkfeathers Tech does not receive or store your full credit card number, debit card number, bank account number, or other full payment method details.

The app may receive purchase or subscription status information from Google Play Billing so it can unlock Pro features, restore purchases, and manage access to subscription features. This may include information such as whether an Orpheus Deck Pro subscription is active.

You can manage or cancel your subscription through Google Play. Uninstalling Orpheus Deck may remove local app data from your device, but uninstalling the app does not automatically cancel an active Google Play subscription.

7. Internet and Network Access

Orpheus Deck may include internet or network-related permissions for Google Play Billing, subscription checks, purchase restoration, and related Google Play functionality.

Orpheus Deck does not currently use a Junkfeathers Tech server, user account system, ads SDK, analytics SDK, crash reporting SDK, automatic cloud backup, or automatic upload service.

8. Local App Preferences

Orpheus Deck may store simple preferences on your device, such as whether a welcome message or one-time review prompt has already been shown.

These preferences stay on your device and are not sent to Junkfeathers Tech.

9. Play Store Reviews

Orpheus Deck may include a one-time prompt asking whether you would like to review the app on Google Play.

If you choose to leave a rating or review, that action is handled by Google Play. Reviews may be publicly visible according to Google Play’s review system and your Google account settings.

Junkfeathers Tech does not use the review prompt for analytics, advertising, or user tracking.

10. Support and Diagnostics

Orpheus Deck may include local diagnostic information to help troubleshoot app behavior, billing status, audio export, or device-specific issues.

Diagnostic information is not automatically sent to Junkfeathers Tech. If you choose to copy or send diagnostic information for support, you control that sharing.

Please do not send private recordings, sensitive personal information, or payment details in support emails.

11. Data Collection

Orpheus Deck does not currently use:

• User accounts
• Ads SDKs
• Analytics SDKs
• Crash reporting SDKs
• Automatic cloud upload
• Automatic recording upload
• A Junkfeathers Tech server account system

The app handles data mainly for local app functionality, including recording, playback, project saving, importing, exporting, local preferences, and optional Google Play Billing subscription status.

12. Data Sharing

Orpheus Deck does not sell your data.

Orpheus Deck does not share your recordings or project files with Junkfeathers Tech automatically.

Data may be handled or shared only when:

• You choose to export or share files using Android or app tools.
• You choose to send support information to Junkfeathers Tech.
• Google Play handles purchases, subscriptions, reviews, or Play Store services according to Google’s own policies.

13. Deleting Your Data

Because Orpheus Deck stores recordings and project files locally, you can delete projects, recordings, templates, or exports through the app where available, through your device file tools where applicable, or by uninstalling the app.

Uninstall behavior may vary depending on Android storage rules and where exported files are saved.

Uninstalling Orpheus Deck does not automatically cancel an active Google Play subscription. To cancel an Orpheus Deck Pro subscription, use Google Play subscription management.

14. Children’s Privacy

Orpheus Deck is intended as a general audio creative tool for musicians, songwriters, and other audio creatives. It is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children.

If future features collect additional data, this section will be reviewed again.

15. Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated when Orpheus Deck changes, especially if features such as analytics, crash reporting, cloud backup, user accounts, online services, or additional billing features are added.
